Bridging technology and exploration

Based in Seattle, I'm a Senior Staff Software Engineer at WatchGuard Technologies with 10+ years of experience building IoT networking software solutions. I focus on managing Elasticsearch/OpenSearch data ingest pipelines that process billions of logs and handle terabytes of streaming data.

I specialize in AWS services, large-scale distributed systems, and data security. Recently I've been building agentic AI systems — including AWS Bedrock agents connected to large enterprise data stores — and designing databases purpose-built to serve AI workloads with curated training data. My background in International Studies from UW's Jackson School, combined with travels to 32 countries, brings a global perspective to technology solutions.
